The
Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) will
offer nine new skill-oriented postgraduate diploma courses through
distance education from the coming academic year.
The courses include Feed Manufacturing Technology; Commercial Poultry Production and Management; Veterinary Orthopaedics; Veterinary Ophthalmology; Ethno Veterinary Practices; Small Animal Internal Medicine; Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Management; Small Animal Cardiology and Small Animal Dermatology.
A total of about 20 to 30 students would be admitted in each course. Each course would be for a period of one year with two semesters. In each semester the students have to undergo 10 days of a hands-on-training programme, which the university would organise.
