Annamalai University Directorate of Distance Education was established in 1979. offers four hundred and one different programmes of study under the Regular Stream. The Directorate of Distance Education is also offering the Programmes on Fashion Design, Textile Design, Interior Design, Hotel Management and Catering Technology Programmes, Retail Management, Twinning Programme, Programmes on Health Science, Commonwealth Youth Programme, Yoga, Music, Fire and Safety, Pharmaceutical and Taxation Programmes. All the programmes of study offered by the Annamalai University  Directorate of Distance Education have the approval of the Distance Education Council, New Delhi. Annamalai University Distance Education Courses:- MBA (2 years) Eligibility: Any graduate (except 10+2+2 pattern) Master of Computer Applications (MCA) (3 years) Eligibility: 3 year bachelor’s degree after completion of +2 or 3 year bachelor’s degree after completion of three year diploma of any recognized university. Candidate who have not studied Mathematics at +2 or at Diploma level should undergo a bridge programme for a week BCA:- Eligibility: Higher secondary examination or an examination accepted by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto or 3 year technical diploma examination also eligible for admission B.Com (Computer Applications); BBA (Computer Applications):- Eligibility: A pass in Pre-university/Higher Secondary examination/second year Foundation programme/ three year diploma/ two year diploma in teacher education or an equivalent examination M.Sc Information Technology (2 years) Eligibility: A pass in any degree or an equivalent examination M.Sc Bioinformatics (2 years) Eligibility: Any degree in Science or an equivalent examination M.Com Computer Applications (2 years) Eligibility: B.Com/BBA/BA Corporate Secretaryship/B.A. Co-operation/Bachelor of Bank Management/B.Com C.A./B.M.M./B.C.A. or an equivalent examination Annamalai University Distance Education Admission Criteria:- Cost of application form, MCA/M.Sc in person (by cash) Rs 250/-, by post Rs 290/-; M.Com (CA), B.Com (CA), BBA (CA)/B.Sc Maths (CA) in person (by cash) Rs 75/-, by post Rs 100/-; UG/PG diploma/diploma and Paramedical Science programmes, in person (by cash) Rs 100/-, by post Rs 130/- Students waiting for results can also apply Last date for issue and receipt of filled-in applications: 03.09.2010
