New Article: How MOOCs Are Changing the Way We Learn

Think about the problems with traditional opencourseware: there's no instructor to help you stay on track, you're often left with just a syllabus and no access to activities or other readings, you're isolated from your peers, and it's hard to stay motivated.
Now, imagine a collaboration between top universities that is trying to change all of that.
MOOCs, or massively open online classes, are high-quality virtual courses that are designed just for their freely-registered pupils. Learners get access to full content, can interact with their peers, receive feedback for their work, and can even earn certificates. But, not everyone in academia is happy with the development of MOOCs.
