All About Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT MBA/MCA) 2012

Posted by Raunika Sood on July 24, 2012, 11:30 a.m.Karnataka MBA/MCA Admission Test is held for admission into Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) programs.

Karnataka Postgraduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) conducts KMAT 2012 exam for admission into management quota seats in colleges affiliated with Universities in Karnataka.
The association conducts entrance exam to fill the management seats of the MCA program in the colleges affiliated to the universities in Karnataka.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission to KMAT 2012:
Candidates with any Bachelors Degree of minimum three years duration after 10+2 stream, in any discipline i.e: science, humanities, commerce, computers etc from any recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects; including languages are eligible to apply for Karnataka Management Admission Test (KMAT).
Application Procedure for KMAT MCA 2012:
The candidates can get the application form either from the KMAT official website or can purchase it from the participating colleges.

The application form will cost Rs.500/- for the general category.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus for KMAT 2012:
MBA Syllabus for KMAT 
  • There will be 3 sections in the exam.
  • Each section will have 40 questions. So there will be 120 questions in total which have to be attempted in 120 mins.
  • The 3 sections are: language comprehension, Mathematical Skills & Basic Aptitude.
MBA & MCA
  • There will be 4 sections with 40 questions in each section.
  • The total no. of questions will be 160.
  • The time allotted will be 160 mins.
  • The sections are: Language comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Basic aptitude & Logical reasoning.
